Kapitel 3: Chapter 3 His silence hurts

Easton's POV

The drive to school was loud and obnoxious as usual but today it was bothering me more than usually. Due to the fact that it has been eight months since I had found my mate and have not been able to complete the mating process. We learned that as young wolves that the longer you take to complete the mating process once you find your mate the consequences would be heart wrenching. Which is where I am today. I had come of age to find my mate in March earlier this year on a Tuesday. Which was an exciting thing for my family since I would be taking over as alpha after I graduated. But I couldn't truly be alpha until I was mated. April the packs slut and sadly childhood friend always said we were mates, yet she didn't give off the beautiful aroma that you smell when you find your mate. That same day in first period the smell of honeysuckle and cinnamon filled the room. My wolf screamed inside our mate was right there and we needed to mark her then and there. I looked up from where the smell was coming from, and it was Accalia. The girl I had known since childhood, been in almost all of my classes my whole school career was my mate. Yet she hated my guts for me just having fun until I found my mate. At that very moment i knew all my meaningless one-night stands were over. I just wanted her.

"Easton stop your going to splash her!" David yelled, snapping me back to reality to see I had splashed Accalia. My heart sank into my stomach, but I couldn't let anyone see. Keeping my cool I let my window down to the angry beauty standing in front of me. "My sincerest apologies love." I said as her aroma intoxicated my every sense. She was even beautiful when angry. "Just watch where you're driving James." she said, flipping her backpack splashing water on my windshield. "Strong and confident she'll make us a great Luna." my wolf said with joy, making me smile in the process.

I drove into my parking spot seeing her brother telling me to basically to fuck off. She seemed to think about putting his hand down and then continued into the building. Accalia didn't care for me but I'm like any other guy. I love a good chase. Even if it was from my own mate. It made her more desirable. I grabbed my sports bag and closed the door behind me only to face April. "Easton my love we're supposed to go to the meeting tonight to talk about the new clan that has come into our territory, and as the up in coming alpha and Luna we must be there." I pushed April into the hood of my car with one fluent movement. "Don't tell me my duties to the pack, you're not my mate, you're just a lost puppy looking for a home and make no mistake April I'm not your home nor will I ever be." she wiped tears from her eyes and ran inside. I smiled and shook my head knowing in an hour she would be running back to me. Cattle at my disposal. But it wasn't the cattle I had my eyes on. The one I wanted was a 5'8 dirty blonde. One that I knew I would soon have in two days. Friday November the 23rd after the football game I would hunt. Not to kill but to confine her and make her one of us. An animal enslaved to the moon a werewolf. That way we could be together how it was meant to be.

Accalia and I had six of our eight classes together. English 4, statistics, economics, government second semester, aquatic science, yearbook, and culinary. We sat on opposite sides of the room from each other but today I'm going to change that. Over half of our teachers were wolves in my family's pack. Our principle, assistant principle, and our superintendent was in the pack. They basically raised me when my father was away doing business. I walked into economics and went to Mrs. Frey. "Sit Accalia next to me." I said placing my hands on the table. "Easton you have never asked for anything like this, may I ask why you're wanting her to sit next to you?" I looked away from her she was basically like my grandmother I hated not telling her the whole truth, but I knew if I told her she would be required to tell my father. "Mrs. Frey you know I hate lying to you so I'm asking you to just move her next to me, if I could tell you I would hands down." she looked at me knowing something was going on and all she said was "If I move her by you, I want to know what's going through that head of yours Easton, understand?" I shook my head at her and went to my seat. 48 hours Accalia. The clock has begun.

I ate breakfast with my brother before we went our separate ways until our last class of the day. When I walked into first period I was stopped at the door by Mrs. Frey. "I'd like you to interact with some other students." she said smiling at me. "No problem where you want me to sit." She looked over at the one place I didn't want to ever get stuck sitting. The desk next to Easton. A feeling of unexpected joy ran through my body, but I pushed it down quickly. I walked over to my new seat and looked straight ahead. "So, you're my new seat partner?" he said putting his feet on the desk. All I could do was look over at his with disappointment written on my face. "Come on Accalia why don't we at least try to be friends." he said looking serious for once. My heart jumped with glee thank goodness he couldn't hear it. "Sure, we can be friends from a thousand miles away." I said with a smile. In a matter of seconds, he went from serious to furious.

Easton didn't say two words to me for two days. We sat next to each other and never exchanged a word. It killed me on the inside how I had treated him. I knew it hurt him in his own way I could feel it. I didn't know how I could, but I knew he was hurting. Like a part of me knew what he was feeling, and it felt natural. up until the night of the big football game silence then when I was washing my hands after baking cookies in culinary class, he came over to me and spoke. "Things are going to change after tonight Accalia I promise." drying my hands I turned to letting my hair down from my neat bun. "What's that supposed to mean Easton." but he was already heading out the door with his friend David. He made an awkward statement and didn't even care to explain it after ignoring me for two days. Typical Easton. Typical.
