Kapitel 20: HIDDEN HEIRESS

"Hello? Dadda?", I spoke into my phone.

"Yes, sweetheart", a masculine voice replied on the other end of the line.

"How are you doing?"

"I'm fine", I replied.

"Daddy, I heard the Mitchelson's are having an event tomorrow"

"Yes....I vaguely remember someone informing me about it. What of it?"

"Well....do you think I could attend?", I asked in a coquettish voice.

"You want to attend the event?", he asked.

"Yes...well you see a friend of mine is attending and he asked me to be his date to the event. I really don't want to disappoint him", I explained.

"A friend of yours?", he asked somewhat skeptically.

"Yes, you probably remember him, Sky Evans?"

"Evans? As in E Globals?", he asked.

"Yes, he's the only grandchild of the Evans family", I said.

"Hm. Listen, darling you know I have no problem with you attending events like this. It is your mother that seems to have a problem with it"
