Kapitel 153: She cannot leave this way

On the third day, Édouard and Andrew were supposed to return to the Escana Palace. However, till the evening there was no sign of it. Christian was waiting for the news of Charlotte's death while Anneliese was waiting for Édouard at the palace's main gate.

"How come she is still alive?" Christian muttered while roaming on the balcony outside his bedroom. He stopped and rested his hands on the balustrade base, tapping his fingers over it.

"His Majesty may catch a cold for standing outside for too long," Igor said, who was standing near the entrance of the balcony.

Christian tilted his head a little and asked him, "Shouldn't Édouard be here by this hour? Charlotte might lose her life any second."

"Prince Édouard must be on his way to the palace," Igor said.
