Kapitel 130: It can be dangerous

Édouard returned to the chamber and removed the shoulder cape. He was utterly confused by his father's behavior.

"Let me help," Charlotte said and unbuttoned his waistcoat. "I heard from Charles what happened when we were not in the palace. Andrew told Matilda that he would not marry her," she said.

"Hmm. Father apologized to me," Édouard said. Charlotte's hand stopped at the lower button and she looked into his eyes.

"It was strange. He said he found out Matilda is not good for this royal family. However, I still do not believe my father. He never gave me the reason to believe him," Édouard pronounced.

"So, do you think your father was not sincere in his apology?" Charlotte inquired and opened the last button. She pushed the waistcoat down his arms and pulled it out.

"Yes. He handed me my Duke's badge," Édouard said and showed it to her. "I am shocked. What did Andrew exactly say to him? I have yet to find that out," Édouard stated.
