She called her mother to inform her of the flight schedule. Josie Reed had been in the airport all along and upon hearing the time from her, surprisingly expressed that she would wait right there for her at the airport.

The flight to New Zealand takes about twenty hours. Though there was plenty of time, no matter how Tara Summer tried to persuade her, Josie Reed stubbornly refused to go home first.

Having failed to convince her, Tara Summer gave up trying to dissuade her and let her have her way.

Tara Summer sat alone for ten minutes, the coffee served by the waiter, untouched, her eyes staring outside the coffee shop at a specific spot.

Only when her mobile phone suddenly rang was she startled awake.

She picked up her phone and saw that it was Walter Schmidt who had called. She answered the call.

"Where are you!?" A man's anxious voice transmitted from the other side of the phone.

"I'm at the airport." Tara Summer looked down, her voice flat, emotionless.
