33.33% Mr. PUNISHMENT / Chapter 9: Jealous Me?

Kapitel 9: Jealous Me?

Dave Pov ;

Mom and Dad raised me with great love. They take very good care of me, especially Mom, she won't let me get even a little scratched, Dad often reminds her not to spoil me too much.

Meanwhile, Dad taught me about business since I was only nine years old. Reading books in the little library that Dad made especially for me, all morning. Mom will make snacks and warm milk for me. I don't play like other kids my age, laugh and have a lot of friends like them. For me, being outside the house is more uncomfortable, there are dozens of bodyguards who will follow just to go to school.

At school, I was mostly silent. During recess I will be in the library until the time for the next class. The little girls gave a lot of gifts on my study table, piled up, exceeding my height. I don't accept gifts from strangers. I used to play only with Dad and Mom and the maid who had been working at home for a long time. Dad also often reminded me to always be careful with the outside world and the people around me.

Mom and Dad will do whatever I want. Without asking, they trusted me. Basically, I'm Dave William. I will get everything I want.

And now I just got rejected. Maybe it's rejected right? And by a little girl who is even seven years apart in our age. The only girl who rejected me. Well I've never asked a girl in a certain relationship before, but this time I even asked to marry her, isn't that amazing?

Lisa came out with annoyed steps, slightly slamming the door. I was about to run after her, but Jessy held me back. She said curtly to me, "Lisa has a boyfriend, don't make things difficult for her!"

I was silent, staring at Jessy intently, looking for lies there. She stepped away, closing the curtain where she changed clothes. I remember the incident at the restaurant where we met a few months ago, she was clearly kissing me in front of the man who if I'm not mistaken is her ex-girlfriend. Has she found a new lover?

When I left the room, Lisa was no longer there. I was about to look for it, but a call from the office stopped me. I looked at my watch, it's three o'clock, there's still two hours before the show starts. Gerry is waiting for me downstairs, I have to take care of some work.

....

Twenty minutes before Jessy's wedding, I was still halfway there. For some reason this afternoon the road became jammed, as if there was a traffic accident ahead. Alan who beside me was resting, closed his eyes, probably asleep. I meet him outside the door of the company, he said he would attend a wedding of his old friend's son. Coincidence or not, our goal is the same, Jessy and Dalen's wedding.

Alan asked if I was invited from the bride's or groom's family, "Dalen is the manager of my hotel." I just discovered the lie out of the blue, but Alan even complimented me, "Really? I didn't know Mr Dave was a leader who cares about his employees." I just smiled in response.

After a long traffic jam, at five o'clock in the afternoon, we finally arrived at the wedding hall. I tidied up my shirt and hair, making sure they looked presentable. Alan laughed at me.

"You look like a man about to meet his mistress Dave!" Alan chuckled, opened the car door, stepped out.

Wedding music sounded throughout the second floor corridor. As soon as we arrived, the bride and groom and their families were seen taking pictures together. My eyes caught Lisa there, trying to pose sweetly next to a middle-aged woman, if I'm not mistaken, Mrs. Wilson. Lisa would smile cheerfully when the camera was pointed at them, then would change her expression to a dull one during a pause. I smiled a little at her. Look at those round eyes, gosh.

"Mr. Dave!" Alan called out to me, asking me to follow him. The photo session is over, family members get off the stage. I tried to find Lisa's figure, while continuing to follow Alan's footsteps from behind.

A middle-aged man and woman came up to Alan, hugging him.

"You look healthy Alan!" they then laughed, patting each other on the back.

"Oh come on, this is Dave William, and this is my old friend Andrea Wilson!" Alan introduced us friendly, they seem to be really close.

"Of course I know who this handsome young man is, every corner of London should know him! My son even works for him." Andrea patted my back, making me more comfortable. I smiled awkwardly.

"Jane Wilson." Jane, Andrea's wife shook my hand, smiling kindly. I greeted her, she looked like Mom, which made me a little comfortable.

"Did Alan kidnap you Dave? I heard you are a hard person to find, but today you are in the middle of our son's little wedding," Alan laughed, Andrea laughed too, I just laughed a little.

"I'm sorry Mr Dave, let this lady ask you, do you have a girlfriend? I can introduce you to a beautiful woman if you want." Jane looks at me enthusiastically, making me smile awkwardly.

"Gosh, I'm sorry my wife Dave. She's just in a rush!" Andrea pulled Jane aside, making Jane grumble.

"Don't worry Jane, Dave has a girlfriend, and they're getting married soon!" Alan chuckled, happy to answer Jane's question. Jane looked at me, trying to find reassurance. Oh, I forgot about that. I could only nod slowly in response. Jane's face looked a little sad, only a few seconds, then smiled again.

"It's okay, I can introduce our Lisa to another guy!" even though it was only Jane's small mumble, but I could hear it clearly. Looks like my body will respond quickly if it's about Lisa. Introducing her to other men? Does that mean she's looking for a boyfriend for Lisa?

"What a lucky girl who will be your wife Dave. Having a handsome man every time you wake up in the morning is a small happiness that all women hope for," Andrea pulled Jane who hadn't blinked at me since. Holding his wife's hand to keep her from walking away.

"The dance party is about to start Alan, I have to accompany my son to dance there!" Andrea and Jane stepped into the middle of the hall, I don't know when the dance music was playing, I didn't notice. The headlights of course highlight the bride and groom, making them the center of attention.

"Dave!" Alan handed me a glass of wine, we watched the dance from the corner of the hall.

My eyes swept across the hall, searching for Lisa's whereabouts. I found it, right in the other corner of the hall. She's in the white dress she wore this morning, she says I ruined it but I think it looks fine, maybe has been tidied up.

Her black hair was left hanging over her back. She didn't change her shoes, I'm guessing Jane must have forced her to change her senakers to high heels, and she refused. A small white bag hung from one side of her shoulder. Her hands were busy choosing food, eating each type one by one. She turned her head around, making sure no one would notice. I chuckled.

Lisa stroked her stomach, it seemed like she was full. She turned around, our position should be facing each other, although far away, I hid behind Alan. I don't know why I'm hiding, but I feel like if I approached Lisa now, she'd be mad.

A brown-haired man approached her, holding out a hand. My legs reflexively moved, but I managed to hold them. Lisa glanced at it, then put the wine glass on the man's hand that was still outstretched, I could guess her current curt tone. Lisa shook her head, ignoring every word of the man beside her. The man didn't go, he took the food beside Lisa, didn't give up after Lisa rejected him. But then Lisa laughed, the man stretched out his hand again, which Lisa welcomed. They started talking while laughing.

I almost broke the glass in my hand because I was too angry to hold it. Alan looked at me, asked what was going wrong.

I replied curtly, "I'll marry her, soon!" stared intently at another corner of the hall.
