Anna stared at the Quest and sighed.
Without care, she declared that she will fight alone which means no one should give her an order. A commotion was issued as people accused her of insubordination.
One of the restrictions she had was that, to use her full power no one should order her.
It was Dragon Pride!
How could someone that tanks tens of Dragon attacks take orders from weaker life forms?
And that moment the Chief blessings doubled the player's level and increased their ability twofold.
In five minutes the beasts stamped reached the village, the Archers shot out and Shieldbearers held the line to weaken the momentum of the stampede.
Before the shieldbearers and beasts collided a war cry was heard!
"Mighty Shield?"
An illusory shield appeared on Anna's hand as she bolted forward.
"You Dare!"
Her voice contained a Might that shook not just the hearts of players and villagers, but the beast panicked. It was like they were before an Apex Predator.
A Dragon!
A force field emitted from the shield covering the human army. The beasts that were at the front smashed onto it and squashed against the Impenetrable Wall.
It was a one-second shield ability, but it was enough to stop hundreds of beasts at the same time.
As everything came to a sudden halt, Anna quickly looked for the higher-level beasts.
"I will hold the level 40 beasts for thirty seconds. Finish the mob and unite to kill the bosses," She shouted before running toward the beasts.
That was her first Game War and she performed splendidly. They title her;
Heroine, the Shield of Black Mamba!
The fight lasted for three days. That meant players were ejected mid-fight after the world froze and when they came back, the world resumed.
There were a lot of complaints about the game due to that inconvenience. The Game developers replied that there will be an update soon.
After the battle, the Chief proposed to her but she kindly rejected him. She said she was married. Thankfully no one knows her name and there was no tag above one's head to show it.

Today was the deadline for Nanncy's Quest. She was panicking as there were no new developments regarding Seth's skills.
She taught him everything she could in that short period. She even tried teaching him Antique Identification, Dancing and Singing.
But he only levelled them up to maxed level, but nothing about him converting them into Talents.
Seth sat beside her as he was furiously recording the conversations of the Village Chief with a Merchant.
He was holding a large book with hundreds of pages and a quill. An ink bottle was attached to the book.
He was dragging the quill across the page from right to left, then the line would contort and become words.
Scribe was the hardest to level up because Seth can't level it up by donating EXP.
He needs to listen, see and understand actual activity and write those activities that hold the whole meaning. Then he will get EXP to level it up. Copying books and writing stories did not provide EXP.
But if he pursued a single person and wrote that person's activities for a day, that was when he obtained the Scribe Skill.
And EXP to level it up!
Unlike his other skills, he understood how Scribe works and its rules. The more he levelled it up the more he gained mastery over it.

Seth sighed and stopped writing for some second before he continued. With the level up he doesn't need to pay more attention.
All he had to do was listen till they reached a junction in their communications. Then he will squabble the whole page, which will turn into writing.
Two hours later the Village Chief went back to his manor. While Seth and Nanncy went to an In to eat something.
"No lesson today. Maybe tomorrow!" Nanncy said to her student. They were villagers and player teenagers that she took as students.
"You look down today!" Seth said as he sat on a chair while gesturing for the In attender to give them something to eat.
"Show me your skills!" She said.
Seth stared at her before he called his window and sent her the information.

"What are we doing wrong!" She whispered.
"Today is the deadline and you didn't have the skills as your talents. Do you know the reason?"
"Maybe the game is bugged or we have not figured out the condition." Seth watched her face as if she was about to cry.
"The reward must be amazing to make you downcast."
Then she showed him the whole quest.

"Talent. Everything I taught you, I have it as a talent!"
"Okay, bring out your book and start Scribing. We are reversing our roles!"
Nanncy frowned as she stared at him.
"Don't you want to achieve the Quest in time?" Seth asked. "I have thought of a way but we have to test it to see!"
She brought out her book and a quill float on the first page.
Seth began to explain his views and experience and the moment he spoke the Quill jotted down.
"This game has so many rules. Most of them are hidden. And you need to understand or realize them to make some progress….."
Then he stopped as he stared at the Quill in envy.
He told her about his experience in the first trial and second trials. But he told her how to easily pass the trials without mentioning his sister's feats. Then he explained other things and even related them to other games in the past.
He told her some rules he found and others he assumed. He kept speaking, bringing out everything he could remember.
Scribe Skill enhanced his memory in the game, making him recall things easily.

"Impossible!" Nanncy shouted as she stared at the space before her. Attracting the attention of people around.
She quickly dragged Seth out and went to her hotel. She closed the door and said keep talking.
"Where was I!" Seth said with an arrogant smile. He knew he nailed it and he was enjoying that he garnered the attention of such a person!
"You said… the classes might be different from other games…"
"Yes, I thought the classes might be based on the weapon one imagined but that means one can create his or her class if he imagined something out of the norm. This was just speculation and then…"
He spoke for some time before stopping.
"That's all I can think of!" Seth said as he drank water.
Nanncy's room was well furnished with decoration. Hmm! That was why she always complains about not having enough coins.

"Your rambling is actually a Guidebook?" She asked.
Seth had his eyes closed as he nodded, enjoying the praise but then he became serious and said!
"No, I think the system will omit and change things. Valid things will stay while the incorrect ones will go. As for those that are deep and secretive they might disappear too."
"You really are a master gamer!"
"Not really. I'm Game Saint!" He said with a smug.
"What about Personal arms, Path to Greatness and True talent!"
"Personal Arm is the easiest as for the other two I don't know. I have no idea. Maybe the game will give you that." Seth said.
She quickly grabbed him and said, "Then give me the Personal Arm."
"Did you take any Personal Arm in the second trial arena?" He asked.
"Yes, it was a Sword."
"Go sell it to a player!"
Without hesitation, she ran out of the room.
Seth leans back admiring the beauty of the room. Nanncy has taken her time painting it Making sure it looked exotic and mesmerizing.
He checked for food and found some. He also saw some Gold Coins but he did not take them.
Ten minutes later she returned.
"It can't be sold. I tried but it wouldn't sell out." She said almost crying. "Most I sold it?"
"Yes! Go and meet the Village Chief and tell him how you acquired it. Now you want him to take it away from you!"
She bolted out again. In three minutes she came back full of smiles and relief!
"Now what?" She asked
Seth looked at her up and down and then said, "Sit and close your eyes!" She did it without suspecting a thing. She was agitated because she totally trust someone in her room while doing everything he asked without hesitation or questions
"Imagine your weapon. Think of everything about it!"

"Fuck. Weapon 06 is connecting to its owner!" A bulky man with Brown attire shouted. He was sitting in a room that was filled with different objects floating in place.
Four weapons were glowing, one of them was Nanncy's.
NPC can generate Quest to Players, so also Gama System can decide to generate Quest to a Player to help a Player and the helped Player will somehow know one of the rewards for the that helped him.
It's one of the uniqueness of this Game that people are yet to find out. But there was a rule behind it, and that was the one bring helped should something the other desired!
If you enjoyed it, vote. Don't forget this novel was in Contest!
"Try harder and connect with it," Seth shouted.
Nanncy kept her eyes closed but the more she thought of possessing her Weapon the more she felt a splitting headache.
Health: Normal> In-pain>Headache> Mind injury!
Notification kept flashing, telling her she was losing health but Seth urged her to keep going.
After seeing her body blurring away, he slapped Healing Mud on her forehead and that healed her back. Then from time to time, Seth will make her drink liquid from Soothing Gourd.
Through effort, a silhouette of an object, ten centimetres long began to appear, and then it disappeared. As if yanked away.
Nancy Almost disappeared due to that, thanks to Seth's timely intervention she was healed back to normal!

They were listening to the commotion. "You have to endure for a little while. It will be easier if we pass this phase!"
Their faces were flushed red and they were speechless. "Is it by force!" The player asked.
"No, they might be newbies! Don't know how to put it properly." Another person said.
Then the Hotel owner made everyone leave and decided to give these people a lesson on how it was done.

The world powers irrespective of culture, race or ethnicity worked together to find the solution to the world-ending events.
The enemy group worked together hand in hand as brothers to develop a single machine that might save their planet.
Amidst the development, they made sure those who participated in game development will not participate in beta testing.
That will reduce the possibility of knowing what will happen. Even though the First Trial was unexpected by the developers.
During the ten years of Asteroid Online development, many other online games were introduced.
The Head Gear given ran a constant scan on people's brain and body function and sent it to the Hive Mind to analyze.
There were deaths during that phase which the World Authority considered necessary sacrifices.
Astroid online was built over blood which the Authority buried with all their might. At long last, they managed to find a way to create a machine capable of giving them desired effects. And run an AI that is capable of supporting and doing what they envision.
That was when the tension brewed. Politics bubble up, seeing that the machine was created. In the end, the Alliance collapsed into many groups.
But one group was labelled as Rebels!
They managed to uproot half of what was created by taking one of the five Core of the Quantum Computers used to create the game
The united group wanted to sit and talk things through but due to a race against time they couldn't. As the Omega Asteroid was moving again. So they quickly launch the game.
The First Trial was the first-ever tested simulation.
The powerful AI ran an algorithm that changed the whole setting into something unpredictable. It may have resulted in many deaths due to panic of unexpected realism. Thankfully, it went well without a major hitch.
The creation of Asteroid Artifacts was something no one predicted.
The Second Trial, too, was out of the norm but was predictable. So, various groups work together and plan to gather the best Artifacts.
Things become complicated but they manage to get their hands on renowned Artifacts by targeting first-rankers.
Nanncy Abaddon Aeren's Artifact was targeted. Knowing for sure she created something amazing.

Seth stared in dazed after Nanncy's Artefact materializes. Because at that moment he heard her say, "Bestow!"
And he was bombarded with notifications. Then a splitting headache accompanied by knowledge of something familiar.
He felt his fingers, hands and shoulder muscles being stretched and then compressed. He felt numb and itchy and his muscles became sour. His eyesight enhanced, taking in fine details he couldn't before.
What eluded him in terms of Art before, now he can see and understand.

Sling!
Seth opened his eyes and was surprised to see his parents staring at him.
"Did something happen?" He asked worriedly.
"No, you are ten minutes late!" His father said. They helped him and he went to wash up.
The school days are starting, so Seth has to prepare for that.
But the news was that their country wanted to introduce online schools through VR. By creating VR similar to Asteroid Online they will have their students study in it without ever coming out of their homes.
Online school is common but not to the extent of what was being introduced.
But most people were opposed to that, saying it will further destroy physical social interaction. Social media has made things bad already!
Despite that, the plan was being carried out, it was just not being accepted by the masses, yet!
Seth liked the idea but he knew the implication of it. VR is still not real, some people will not be able to develop their social Skills well there. While bold people will do outrageous things since it was not real.
Despite his incapability, Seth likes social gatherings. Just watching people interact made him feel satisfied. So, he usually went to a Marketplace or a Park and sat in a high place and observed.
.
.
.
The numbness from the game followed him. And sometimes he felt a jolt of current passing through his brain to his body. That was why while Seth was eating, the spoon kept falling off his hand.
He spent the whole day feeling numb but he hid it from his parents. He doesn't want to worry them because he has a history of game accidents.
At midnight, Seth felt his muscles relax, his hand a bit stronger and his mind sharper. He was shocked, as the effect of what he was feeling was one-third of what he felt in the game!
To test his theory, he went to his Art Room. By wobbling around, he arranged the painting materials. He calmed his mind as he took some medicine that will keep him awake for the night.
He held his brush against the white canvas!
First stroke!
Second stroke!
Third stroke!
Each stroke was targeted with meaning and he can already see its significance in other parts of the paint. Seth took his time as he painted one part at a time.
He was so engrossed that he forgot about time. For every colour he painted, lines he curved and adjustments he made, there was a burning passion in it.
Six-hour passed in the blink of an eye!
The painting was perfect!
To Seth with his newfound Talent, he can see some minor imperfections that he wants to rectify but doesn't know-how.
"What are…. Amazing!" Sarah came and looked at the picture of her in a wedding dress. That was what Seth painted, the picture that was taken during her wedding.
She hugged Seth and kissed him, "You are really a Genius. Look at that!"
She was about to shout and call for others, but he stopped her, saying that he wanted to keep it a secret and surprise everyone during her Marriage Anniversary.
****
"You look beat up!" Nanncy said full of smiles.
"Yeah, there was an event at home and I was up all night!"
Before the conversations continued, he brought out his painting materials and set them in the Town Square.
He used the same strategy Nanncy used, he splashed all colours on a white canvas and used his hands to spread them.
Then he began to adjust it with a brush. In an hour and a half, an exquisite painting better than the one he did in the real world was presented.
