I stifle the fifth yawn I’ve had over the last twenty minutes. This is ridiculous. What am I even doing? Studying? I’m staring at this study guide after reading it for the fifth time and, for the life of me, I feel like my mind is numbing with every blink.
Reading? What is reading? Do I even know words anymore? I sigh, knowing there is no way I am going to retain any more information for the night.
Bleary-eyed, I blink a few times and glance at the nearby clock in the library. Twelve twenty? In the morning? Had I really stayed that long?
Time to go home and get some sleep.
I stretch as I stand before I haul my backpack over my shoulder. This place in the back of the library is a great place to study. Secluded. A little window so you can see outside. Great smell of old books which are rarely checked out.
