Kapitel 20: Kai's life
"What will you do Dr. Abha?" Kai's PA questioned.
"Do you think talking to him nicely will help?"
"Everyone tried so maybe it won't so...what now?" the PA answered.
"Umm...maybe you should go too. I have a plan but if I am alone it will be easy for me to conduct it. Give him some personal space. I know you are also feeling sad about him. But leave it for me." Abha said looking into his eyes.
"Okay...I will leave. But try your best Ms. Abha." saying that he left. Abha had something on her mind. If Kai won't open...Hehe...she could enter herself but she should be alert and keep it secret while doing so.
First, she knocked and asked Kai to open the door. But there was no movement in the room. So, she opened the door using the hairpin. Entering the room she locked it from inside.
Kai wasn't in his room, so searched for him and finally found him on the balcony looking far away. She didn't approach him but watched him from afar. His figure from backward also looked sad and lonely. Because of the scene, she remembered the first meeting with Rick. Both looked the same. Unknowingly she had a smile on her face.
"I hadn't expected someone to be so in love or have such a weak heart. Is your heart made of glass that everyone could throw a stone and break?" Approaching him she spoke. But still, he wasn't responding.
"Omg...you are really fragile. If I knew it before I wouldn't have made you a friend or even tried to treat you. If I was in your place I would--"
"What would you do?.." Kai asked in a small and hoarse voice.
"Oh my!! you are willing to speak. Do you know the term face slapping or tit-for-tat? I would make her regret her action and also for not choosing a diamond like me. "
"But I am not capable now, because of it" pointing to the wheelchair he turned gloomy.
"Do you really think your legs are the problem, don't make me laugh...before the accident you were fine, weren't you? but you did nothing that could make her regret or return back to you."Abha mocked him.
"Who wants her to return to me? She is only my exes and nothing more. But for sure I would like to reach a position where she would respect and bow to me. She makes me realize my situation and the taunt hurts me too. "
"Then let me ask you, are you happy with your progress with your health or position? Even if you were, you know I am not satisfied. The problem isn't with your legs or whatever you feel but it is psychological, whatever you have on your mind. I wouldn't be able to help you with it. Maybe no one can beside you." Abha sighed.
"Why is that?"
"You have a lot of fears, you overthink and the most important is you are afraid to lose. Something's on your mind...if you want I am all ears."
"Maybe you are right. I have a lot of thoughts in my mind and it's kind of pressuring me. I feel afraid sometimes too, fear of losing what I gained. I don't know who should I share my problem with." he didn't look towards her but looked away.
"You said before you don't want us as a stranger maybe you can take me as a listener. I am not sure if I could help you but it could help you to lessen your pressure. I can hear out your burden."
"Are you finally accepting my friendship? You know it is the first time I tried so hard and long to make friends." Abha just smiled lightly with Kai's reply.
"Okay, maybe I need someone to listen to. Before that let me tell you something about my past"
**Kai's past**
"Have you ever got a feeling of loss when you are almost near it but fail? I hadn't planned to enter politics or even had a goal for my life before. I was a rich kid, everything was given before I asked. My dad had handled the family business and it was profitable. Like others, I didn't have pressure to earn or study. After my birth, my parents didn't try to birth to any other siblings."
"I wasn't the genius but was average in my school. I was always interested in the leader selection from my high school. My family always supported me in whatever I did...You have seen them, they are happy with their life and I wish I could be the same as them. They cherish each other.
Both my parents were from a wealthy families but knew the importance of money and love so they work hard. But for me slowly, I turned extravagant and spent a lot of their money as I finished high school. I spent money on drinking, for friends...and even on girls. I was lost in my own world and forgot about the people who care me. They were very anxious about my present and future. I got lost in my own world not caring about anyone feeling.
I had a few exes but I wasn't into a serious relationship. Only for my last ex-girlfriend was I serious. She was never a bootlicker and had a sharp tongue. She had humiliated me a few times but don't know why I was attracted to her. I didn't pursue her...she dated me because we had a bet about scoring high in our last year of university, she lost and as a punishment was to date me. Funny isn't it..
But later we still found, out that we weren't compatible with each other and her mocking pierced me as a thorn, she was obsessed with power, money and hooked with them. We had a argument so we broke up. She didn't speak a word that day but only acted pitiful.
Maybe you have heard the rumor about her being a reason for me to enter politics, actually, it wasn't her. One of her friends scolded me after our breakup. She told me a lot of things and advised me and then I realized how useless I had become. After that, I noticed I had made people unhappy around me. I decided to change for the better. And I slowly enter politics and secured the position of vice-mayor.
Kai past end**
"Kai, did the friend of your last ex have a crush on you?"
"Nonsense, she was a common girl and good friend of Rosy (last ex). I even don't know her name. We never had a talk before that incident and neither after that."
"Then let me ask you, are you still in love with Rosy? Otherwise, why are you still single?"Abha raised her brows.
"No, I wouldn't want her even if she come back. I was very busy building my position and had less interaction with girls. Maybe that's the reason." messing his own hair Kai replied.
"Why don't you get a girlfriend or more ...why don't you marry? Even if your parent doesn't say anything, they surely want you to have a partner."
"Why don't you be my girlfriend then?" Kai looked teasingly.
"No thanks. You better search another or let me search one for you.."
"Okay, you search for one for me," Kai replied with a smile.
