To find the necessary equipment and herbs, she began to roam around the city. She even searched some experienced people of eastern medicine and discussed with them. Within some days she was ready to apply her knowledge.
She prepared a herbal bath and placed Jayden on it. Besides those, she was doing acupuncture on his head, so she was so concentrated on the treatment. Abha hadn't notified anyone in the hospital about her treatment because nowadays people didn't believe in traditional and eastern medicine. She couldn't change others' minds so she acted silently.
She continued the treatment for a few consecutive days. Because of it, she couldn't attend her studies as well as work. According to her calculation, the patient would wake up in a few days.
After the treatment, she joined her classes and worked. She was a genius in medicine but acted to be the average. She didn't want to be in limelight. Micaidia was a big developed city so making friends and interacting were difficult as everyone was busy. She missed Pliuca very much.
Slowly she had shifted the direction of her study to research and experiments, more than being a doctor. She wanted to follow in the footsteps of her adoptive grandparents.
Between those days she left her job at the welfare center because that hampered her research time, so she later started to work as a private health instructor. Her research work had to be kept secret so she told others that she would study business. Despite her hectic schedule she tried her best to stay at the hospital.
Abha was researching medicine in cooperation with the government of Micaidia that could help people keep safe from air pollution and air-borne disease. One of her professors had recommended her there. She was the youngest on the research team but everyone respected her.
She had taken a few days' leaves for treating Jayden so she became very busy for some days. Inside the lab, she couldn't bring her phone as well as any sort of mechanical device. She even had to change her dress and sanitize. She wanted to stay in the hospital ward and wait for Jayden to wake up but her responsibility to research brought her back to the lab.
She had to be contactless with the world for a few days. The research was progressing in the last phase so she couldn't sleep, eat or rest during those days and could only stay inside the lab. Finally, after five days, the research succeeded.
She was hell tired but still dragged her body out of the lab and changed her clothes. She had planned to have some warm and good food and rest for the whole day but when she switched on her phone she saw several missed calls from the hospital, and the director and some messages too.
Her presence was immediately needed in the hospital. So without having food or rest she rushed to the hospital. When she reached the door she was gasping heavily because she had run all her way from the hospital gate to the ward door. She stood there for a minute to adjust her breath and entered the ward.
Abha was mesmerized by what she saw, it was sort of breathtaking scenario she had ever seen. She couldn't take a step forward or even blink her eyes. She blanked out...
She saw Jayden standing near the window with his back facing her. His figure seemed majestic and the aura around him was so strong that no one would dare to go near him. If the sleeping him looked attractive and handsome then now Abha couldn't find a word to describe him.
She was in a sorry state because she hadn't slept for a few days, plus she hadn't had time to be fresh, her hair was messy with dark circles around her eyes. But one look had him reduced her tiredness.
The call on her phone woke her from her blankness. She went out of the ward and picked up her call.
"Hello, Director. I am already in the hospital...No problem I will look at the situation. Sorry, I couldn't receive your calls before.....Okay." The director of the hospital had messaged her before saying Jayden had gained consciousness the day before but none wanted to reach him because of his strong aura. So, they had hoped Abha to be there. No one exactly knew Jayden's situation, so all were worried.
This time she calmed herself and walked into the ward. Jayden was still standing at the window but was watching the movement of Abha. Abha tried hard to ignore his aura and went to the sofa and sat down.
Her stomach began to growl, so first, she ordered some food from her phone and closed her eye to relax. She nad noticed the skin-piercing gaze from Jayden but ignored it. She abruptly opened her eyes and walked towards a mini cupboard where she used to keep her daily necessities. Took some clothes and went to the bathroom to take a warm and quick shower. She was back in the ward ten minutes later.
She received a notification indicating her food order has arrived. Paying the money she brought the food and spread it on a table. Abha was surprised that the patient was standing in the same position all this while.
"Hey…are you not tired of standing. Take a seat and have some food. Maybe you are hungry too as I am super hungry. Let's talk after this." pointing at the food Abha spoke.
She had ordered light foods so, both could share. Slowly Jayden sat on the far side of the sofa and looked quietly.
"Are you afraid that I mixed poison in your food? See I am eating these too." keeping the food in her mouth Abha spoke.
Jayden took his food and started to eat graciously. He had wonderful dining etiquette but only ate a small portion. Abha finished the remaining as she had learned from an early age not to waste food.
After having food, she cleaned the table and sat on the sofa, and closed her eyes to relax. It had only been two minutes but she had noticed a presence very near her, so she opened her eyes.
Jayden was in front of her. The first thing that came into her view was his dark eyes, void of emotions like a blackhole. She could feel her body shudder diving into those pair. But she liked those eyes and she could feel her erratic heartbeats.
"How are you feeling?" Abha breaks the silence.
"Who are you? What place is this? Why am I here?..."Jayden's queries went on. His sound was hoarse, so he was speaking slowly in a small voice.
"You are in hospital, don't you remember some men were after your life," Abha questioned.
"After me...I don't remember anything...it hurts." He held his head and sat on another corner of the sofa.
She had a vague idea of what was happening to him but also asked.."Do you know who you are?"
"Ummm...NO. I don't know...who am I?" her hypothesis was correct.
"Oh!! You don't remember anything...let's get some check-up to know what exactly had happened to you." She didn't told what she noticed but took Jayden to do an MRI scan.
She was also affected by Jayden's aura but she tried to act normal and calm. When the scanning was going on, she slipped into a bathroom and vomited blood. She knew it wasn't because she was unwell but her body couldn't accept the strong aura easily.
