Kapitel 84: The second death?

The death occurred as she witnessed the bloodless massacre Savine so very casually committed. Immediately, the pedestal she put on her collapsed. And only when it collapsed, Eliseline realized that she made the exact same mistake as last time.

She had piled up all the good of her world on someone again – her dreams, her ideals, her frustration at this world, and so much more. 

She threw all of it toward Savine and thought it would be infallible. She just assumed that Savine would embody the ideal person that Eliseline wanted to be and guide her towards a better place. 

'It's fucking stupid…' Eliseline chuckled to herself.

She drank half of the bottle in her hand, ruminating her life. 

But thinking about it now, it wasn't hard to see why.
