Janu hesitantly tried to enchant an Iron Sword with a low magic crystal. It was his first time so he didn't want to rush it.

"Whaaat..! This is a scam! Buying it costs 11,000 coins and selling it only worths 1,100 coins? The stats are way much better, too."
Janu was furious at the fact that his sword only cost 10% of what the store was selling.
'It's not that I will sell it right away. I need to upgrade my gears. I'll sell the equipment that I don't need later at some auction or guild's store. If I give discounts for batch purchases, it will be easier.'

'But the rarity isn't legendary yet. Does it need a higher quality magic crystal?'

At the hospital
As Janu walked into his mom's ward, he saw a familiar face.
"Janu, come here. You must have met Jono, here."
"Hi, Janu. We meet again."
"Hi, Mr. Jono. Nice to meet you again."
"Jono told me about your work. You did a great job."
"It's nothing worth mentioning, mom. I was just doing my job."
"Don't be too humble, Janu. When you become a raider you must let people know your worth."
"Thanks for the advice, Mr. Jono. I'll keep that in mind."
"You keep calling me mister. I've told you to call me uncle, right?"
"Jono is your father's comrade. To be precise, we're like family. It's fine to call him uncle."
"Okay. Uncle Jono."
"That's much better. Actually your mom may leave the hospital today and I'm offering her to stay at my house. My wife is your mother's friend, so I think it would be great."
"That sounds terrific. But, it's up to mom to decide."
"We've talked it over and it is for the best. You might be busy and have to go outside often. If anything happens to your mom, your aunt can quickly call the hospital or I can send a white mage from the base."
"You have potential, son. And your future is bright. Just visit me when you are free."
"As a matter of fact, I contacted the headquarters and second brother asked me to send you to the capital."
"Really? Why didn't you tell me earlier?" Rianna cut before Jono said anything else.
"He..he.. I'm sorry. So, what are you saying? You don't need to worry about your mother, Janu."
Janu looked at his mother before deciding. His mother knew his intention. He needed approval. Going to the capital wasn't a trivial matter. So, she nodded and that assured him.
"Okay, uncle. But, next week I have a schedule as a miner. I don't want to miss that."
"Is it because the dungeon was where your father was missing?"
"Yes." Worriedly he glanced at his mother.
"Just be careful."
"I will."
They continued their conversation and they could finally go home. Janu accompanied his mother to Jono's house and spent some time before he went home.

In Garuda Mystic's headquarters
"Why do you call me here, Parvesh? You'd better have a good reason." Jacklyn entered the Guild Leader's room acting all high and mighty.
"Mind your temper, Jacklyn. And when we are in the headquarters address me as Leader." Parvesh Khan, the Guild Leader, and an S-Rank, scolded her.
"Yes, Mr. Leader. But, I don't want to hear you call me Vice Leader. So what's up?"
Parvesh and Jacklyn were good friends. They were two of the five raiders who established Garuda Mystic and all of them were the guild's executives.
"I've got a mission for you."
"That's what I want to hear. Tell me about it."
'You're going to the capital next week."
"And?"
"You know about the annual joint training, right?"
"No way. I'm not going. Just lemme raid dungeons." Jacklyn felt disappointed with what she just heard.
"Let me finish first. You'll be the Head Instructor this time. No one's better than you for this position."
"You can just send Lakshmi."
"No can do. She's not S-Rank yet. You know the significance of the rank.
"So what? The trainees are B-Rank at the most."
"The National Auction will be held in the capital in three months. Rumors about legendary-rank equipment are spreading."
"You want me to bid for it?" Hearing the word legendary Jacklyn had a drastic change in attitude.
"Do your best. Win it at all cost. We cannot let other guilds have it."

Wearing a fully upgraded equipment to heroic grade, Janu felt very pleased. He was very proud of his achievement. He almost forgot that his class was still locked.
'Look handsome,' He complimented himself after seeing his equipment, which was set to visible. His equipment was indeed on par with those high-ranked raiders. At least only A-Rank raiders and those from crazy rich families wore such equipment.
'Status Window'
Level: 36.
Name: Janu Dewanto.
Class: <locked>
….
….
"Oh, god. My class…."
'I need to keep my equipment hidden.'
Having a locked class made him perturbed. He still didn't have any way to unlock it.
'Let's see what the internet has on this issue.'
He browsed from his cell phone for any information regarding his locked class.
"Beginner guide for new raiders." I've read this one.'
'7 mistakes beginner raider must avoid."
"10 habits of highly effective raiders." 'Sounds like something people already know.'
"The quickest way to advance your class."
"5 things common raiders don't realize, number 3 is shocking." 'What a clickbait.'
"This is driving nuts."
He had already known that he wouldn't get answers easily.
'I guess I just have to follow the system. It's already weird enough from the beginning.'
Janu set his mind to do the next mission: clearing the second floor of One Thousand Temples.
'Activate'
The second floor was completely different from the first floor. He was at the entrance and what he saw was a large graveyard. It was so large that he estimated more than a thousand gravestones were laid out in the mandala pattern.
As soon as Janu stepped, a gigantic wolf ambushed him out of nowhere.
Mutated Wolf Lv. 48
HP: 2480
MP: 670
Strength: 390
Vitality: 340
Intelligence: 160
Spirit: 146
Dexterity: 236
Agility: 240
Drops:
- Wolf's Soul
- Steel Claw
- Silver Fur
'It's very agile. How can a battle be very tough for a classless awakened? I'm supposed to be OP….'
"Grrr...Grrr.."
The wolf intimidated him by making a growl with his fang sticking out from his mouth. It slowly walked to the side while still staring at Janu, ready at any time to strike when its prey was careless.
Janu didn't have any intention to let his opponent have an easy time killing him. He readied his two weapons; Firestorm Gladius on his right hand and Magic Iron Sword on his left hand. He knew he had to be careful and maxed out his perception to detect any other threats hidden. As he knew, wolves hunted in packs. He had a trump card hidden to face multiple enemies but he hadn't known about what his opponent was capable of. Knowing one's opponent's capabilities was a halfway to victory. The other half was, of course, having the capability to subdue it.
The wolf charged and jumped to pounce him with his huge claws. Janu chose not to evade the attack. He, instead, activated Firestorm by slashing multiple times at the incoming beast. He was confident with everything he had; Daredevil title, which handicapped him when facing an opponent with 10 level differences, Mpu Gandring's Legacy, which boosted fire attack, and other bonuses that he obtained through blood and sweat.
The wolf hadn't anticipated his confrontation and it received a blow from the clash. Fire was an element most beasts, except fire beasts, were afraid of. It lost its menacing aura.
'Afraid of fire eh.. Normal attack should work. Let's see if it can trigger an AoE Fire attack.'
Janu swung his Firestorm Gladius multiple times at the agitated beast. He didn't really care whether his attacks met their target or not. He just wanted to see if it worked.
Seeing the carelessly swung attack, the wolf was getting calmer. Just as it was about to counter attack, it went swoosh.
Swoosh…
Fire struck it. It didn't have anywhere to escape. The fire spread to all directions, making the surrounding a fire field. Janu then finished the confused wolf with the following barrage.

The skirmish went on and as Janu leveled up he found that battles against Mutated Wolves became easier. He had the strategy and bonuses, even when facing a group of wolves. He finally arrived at the Boss Room.
Sinister Lycan Lv 55
HP: 4800
MP: 1200
Strength: 780
Vitality: 685
Intelligence: 350
Spirit: 325
Dexterity: 540
Agility: 315
Drops:
- Sinister Eye
- Cursed Tailbone
- Wolf Blood
It's menacing. This wolf was completely different from the previous wolf type monsters. Its size was twice as big and it stood on its two hind legs just like humans did. Anyone could imagine how strong it was from its muscles. Black fur like steel needles on its body, fiery red eyes, two protruding fangs on its lower jaw and two even bigger and sharper fangs on the upper jaw added to its hideous look.
"Roarrr…"
It roared in an energy-release posture and jumped high in the air. It flew towards Janu with its arm ready to rip its prey with its sharp claws.
Slaashh..
Janu didn't have the confidence to directly confront the attack. He jumped to the side and rolled on the ground before he took a stance. The enemy glared and launched another attack with a combo.
'It's dangerous.' Janu thought while trying his best to avoid and deflected the attack. He, then, strided to the left and…
'Flash'
Janu vanished and he was nowhere to be seen. The Lycan couldn't find him, but it was still on guard. Janu appeared, not on the enemy's back, but above it and activated Firestorm. Even though the enemy was caught off guard, it managed to avoid getting vital damage. The attack only succeeded in taking a little less than a third of its HP.
The werewolf, despite having been hit, countered with a claw attack. Janu hadn't anticipated it and was sent back. The claw managed to pierce his heroic armor, but he wasn't critically injured. The scratch on his abdomen wasn't really deep and only a small amount of blood dripped from the wound.
'D*mn. If my armor wasn't heroic my guts would have splattered.'
He couldn't just take his time recovering. The Lycan already charged again trying to bite his neck with its huge and sharp fangs.
'No time to dodge..'
He readied his Magic Iron Sword to block its body and stabbed his Heroic Gladius towards his enemy's jaw.
The enemy's fangs miss their target due to the impact on its jaw. The Firestorm Gladius hit but failed to pierce through. Janu fell on his back from the impact and his enemy was still struggling to bite his head. He held his attacker with both swords. Blood was dripping from the wound on its jaw and fell on his face.
Janu kicked its belly and it lost its balance. It gave him a chance to stand back, but before he could attack, the Lycan already jumped towards him and clawed his shoulder. It landed perfectly and sent him down again. The attack was too fierce and he lost much HP.
'Troll's Blood activated'
He activated Auto-Regeneration and slowly regained his lost HP.
He stalled for time until his HP reached 80% and activated 'Flash' again. He appeared at the enemy's back and did a combo attack: Firestorm, Triple Hit and Vertical Cleave.
The enemy couldn't react from the combo attack and Janu furiously swung his Gladius to trigger AoE Fire attack. He managed to kill the Lycan at the end.

Janu took a rest for about one hour in his room and seeing his level and stats he decided to clear other floors until he reached his limits.
On the Third Floor he had no issue reaching the Boss Room. He fought against Stallgator Lv 62. It was a hybrid. Its body was that of a stallion and its head was that of an alligator. On the Fourth Floor he faced Kuyang Lv 68, a devil type monster. It was a flying head with the backbone still attached. On the Fifth Floor, Buto Ijo Lv 74 became his enemy. It was a Giant Orc. On the Sixth Floor he faced Fallen Sorcerer Lv 78 and on the Seventh Floor he faced Flame Naga Lv 82.
The seventh floor was his limit. He felt that he needed to upgrade his equipment to legendary before attempting to clear the next three floors. From his skirmish his level rose by leaps and bounds. He also obtained the materials to complete his mission in crafting Heroic equipment. And most of all, he obtained some additional skills.

The day for another mining job arrived.
Long story short, the now D-Rank dungeon was cleared by the raid team. The team was composed of more experienced raiders. The Goblin Cave dungeon was like a training ground for new, low rank raiders, while the Lamia Swamp dungeon, like many other dungeons of the same rank, was a farming field for D and even C-Rank raiders to obtain materials to craft Rare equipment. Of course they didn't craft by themselves, but blacksmiths or forgemasters, as it was officially called, did - at the right price. It would be different for guild members, though. The guilds would arrange the production to give benefits to their members.
The miners could finish their job much quicker thanks to a certain someone.
"Is he not the D-Rank miner? He was from last week's job, right?" One of the miners was curious.
"Seems like it. But maybe not. That's not what a D-Rank could do. Not even a C-Rank can do something like that. He can't be him."
During the mining job, Janu tried something. He wanted to check to what extent his new skill worked.
'Let me see.'
He examined his fellow workers' tools before choosing one.
'Enchant Pickaxe.'
[Are you sure you want to enchant Pickaxe?
Pickaxe might break because the quality is too low.]
'Cancel.'
'Too bad.'
The job was finished, the raiders had long left, and the workers were about to leave.
"Make sure nothing is left behind, everyone."
The workers were leaving, but Janu stayed.
"C'mon, dude. The job's done." The staff asked him to leave together.
"I'll stay for a while. You can leave first. Don't worry, the monsters have been eradicated and I know the way out. I won't be lost."
"Alright. Make sure to come out before dark."
"Sure."
When everyone else was out of sight, Janu walked into the Boss Room. Signs of a fierce battle were still visible. There were still muds of poison in the area, too. At first glance, there seemed to be nothing worth mentioning.
He scanned the surroundings and a snake statue caught his attention. It was at the backside of the swamp and somehow it felt like a living being. The snake statue had a human head and its hair was smaller snakes. It also had human hands. And each one held a weird stone dagger. The shape of the two daggers were identical. It could be said that they were twins. The dagger's blade was wavy and on the edge was a dragon's head.
'Appraise'
[Dragon Kris
Type: Twin Dagger
Rarity: Legendary
Attack: 1,500
Description:
The souls of Twin Nagas transformed into these daggers after their bodies perished in an ancient war.
Skills:
- Thunderstorm EX, perform a cross attack to summon thunderstorm which petrifies enemies except non-organism type. Damage: 1050%
- Dragons Descend, twin dragons manifested from each dagger and autonomously attack enemies. Damage: 850% x2
- Dragon Soul (Passive), receives 50% less damage from dragon-type enemies. If an opponent's remaining HP is 50% or less, its Agility is reduced by 35%.
Bonus:
- The right Dragon Kris contains thunder, which has a 50% chance to petrify the target.
- The left Dragon Kris contains wind, which can create a wind barrier which negates all attacks from weapons below legendary.
"A legendary weapon!!"
The fact that non-combat class never stepped into dungeons made it impossible for raiders to recognize such hidden weapons. No combatant raiders had Appraise skill.
'Wait. Its image is different from the actual item. Is it the real shape?'
"If it is a legendary item, I might as well try to enchant it."
'Enchant'
[Enchant Dragon Kris?]
'Yes'
[Enchant failed. Level is not enough.]
"What the…. Arrrghhh.."
It really frustrated him.
He couldn't enchant a pickaxe because the quality was too low and now he couldn't enchant a legendary item because his level was too low. How ironic.
"Roarrrrr…"
A shadow of two hostile dragons appeared above the statue.
The MC thinks he is OP and life will be easier. Not that easy, Fergusso.. wkwkwkwk.. lol
At least he gets his sub-class...
