With the moonlight reflecting in Lola Hussey's eyes, she responded, "Alright, I'll wait for you."

After hanging up, Lola's heart, which had hit rock bottom, soared back up into the clouds.

She held the phone with both hands, tip-toed, and slowly spun around. Then, seemingly losing her balance, she fell back onto the large bed, burying her face in the quilt for a long moment before remembering she hadn't yet removed her makeup.

She climbed back up, tip-toed again and spun on her way to the washroom to remove her makeup, wash her face, brush her teeth and do her skincare.
