Wolfe skimmed the contents first before reading it out loud, furrowing his brows in concentration. Leon went by his side to see what it was.
"Something wrong?" Leon asked.
"Nothing. I just thought….. Should we really learn about this?" Wolfe said worriedly. "I mean….. It's all in the past already. So why don't we just let it go?"
Leon looked at the contents, and Wolfe quickly hid it.
"Wolfe. You know that it's too late to go back now. You read something, and I would always want to know what it was. I won't let it haunt us forever."
Wolfe hesitated a bit more, then relented to handing the journal to me. "You read it. It's actually too painful to read for me past this point, even when I don't know why yet."
"All I read is this passage, and it's enough for me not to read anymore."
He pointed to one line.
Leon's eyes widened in that line. Soon, that night had become so clear that it felt more like he was transported to the past.
