Kapitel 66: Repercussions

Lying in her bed, Divya was once again in deep thought,

'I am still too weak; the only thing I could do as Alaukik fought those people was watch, watch and hope that he somehow wins. But, how do I grow stronger? I need to come into contact with people for my magic to work, and without it I'm just a normal human - no, I'm worse than a normal human,' she thought, as her fingers ran across her thin, stick - like limbs that barely had any strength to them. But, this was to be expected, after all, Blanche never really cared for her development, just her survival.

'Alaukik … he is a very unique person.' Thinking back to the few times she felt his mind,

'It's like there are two people fighting inside his mind; one of them is constantly creating walls around himself, and the other is constantly trying to erode those walls and join the other half. I wonder why though, does he like his current self so much that he is unwilling to merge with another part of himself? Or is it because of some other reason? I wonde -'

Shooting straight up, Divya suddenly thought,

' Am I curious? Do I want to get to know him better? No, no -' shaking her head, she continued,

'There's no way. I'm just grateful to him. Yes! I'm just grateful to him for saving my life so many times, and so I just want to repay him. That's all.'

Suddenly, she hears a loud thud downstairs. Holding her breath, she slowly gets out of bed and makes her way to the stairs, making sure she makes no sound. Peeking over the railing near the stairs, she sees Alaukik lying on the floor of the living room. Sighing in relief, she slowly makes her way down the stairs, and takes a seat on the dining table.

Meanwhile, Alaukik had noticed Divya long ago, and when he saw that she was making her way down the stairs, he also let out a sigh and slowly got off the floor and onto his feet. Slowly, he made his way to the kitchen and started to make some food for himself. Without turning back, he asked Divya who was sitting on the dining table,

"Do you want to eat something?"

While she didn't reply out loud, Divya slightly shook her head in response to his question.

"Well, that's your loss then," said Alaukik, before continuing on with what he was doing.

On the other hand, Divya was just sitting on the table and watching Alaukik, trying to figure out what he was feeling, and what he was currently thinking about. However, even after constantly staring at him, she didn't understand anything about him. Since he was lying on the floor when she first saw him, she thought he was tired, but looking at him now, he seemed just as energetic as always. She thought he would be scared after the sudden attack, but he was acting as usual, as if this was just a normal part of life.

Of course, reality is usually quite the opposite. Alaukik, on the inside, was fuming with anger and irritation regarding the day's events, and didn't want to deal with anyone or anything right now. He simply wanted to relax right now, which was why he decided to make himself something good to eat.

Having made himself a proper sandwich and a cup of cold coffee, Alaukik sat down in front of the TV and turned it on, hoping to distract himself from his thoughts. While Alaukik never liked to watching the TV - since he couldn't see what was playing - he really needed something to distract himself from his thoughts today.

However, when he turned on the TV, the channel playing right now was talking about the mysterious terrorist attack that caused mass chaos and a lot of damage in one of the most popular shopping malls in Hyderabad.

Taking a deep breath to control his anger, Alaukik switched the channel. However, nearly every channel he turned to was talking about the same story - nearly. One channel however, was talking about something else.

"The massacre of GAU soldiers on the Federations border has incited a rage of criticism from the other countries against the Federation. They demand an explanation for such a horrifying attack on the GAU, and want the perpetrator of this action to be brought to justice in the international court of law. They demand that all information regarding the mage who committed this act be released at once, or else this action will be taken as an act of provocation towards the major powers, who will take immediate action against the Federation-" as the announcer was explaining the current state of the world, the door of the house suddenly opened and Asha walked into the house. Seeing Alaukik sitting on the sofa and listening to the TV, Asha let out a small smile, before focusing on what was actually playing on the TV. Suddenly, her smile went stiff, before she let out a sigh and slowly walked over to Alaukik,

'I guess it's time to tell him…'
