Kapitel 81: Hungry maw

Ivo's half-lidded eyes flew open. Davi looked unruffled, he took the cigarette from between Ivo's fingers, and flicked it into the opaque dark outside the balcony.

"I'll go hide in the bathroom, get the door," he said, stepping beside Ivo and slipping back into the bedroom.

Ivo had the presence of mind to wrap the red robe hanging from the hook on the bedroom's door before opening it.

He wasn't surprised to find Guilherme peering down at him, and even less so that he would shoulder his way into the room without asking for Ivo's permission -- it was his house after all.

"I trust you're all settled in," he said, looking about the room, his silver gaze missing nothing. It stopped on the balcony's open doors.

"I went outside to smoke, I hope that's okay."
