Kapitel 7: Recovery!

The sun was on its horizon. The rays of the sun that were coming into the room lit it red. The birds outside were chirping. It was exactly what one would expect at the beginning of a children's fantasy book.

His eyes twitched as the rays began penetrating his eyes. It was a well-calculated alarm clock that was built by the architecture of the castle-like building. There was no need for an alarm clock when nature had built one for you.

He opened his eyes lids, and the first thing he looked at was the rising sun.

"Beautiful..."

Those were the first that escaped his mouth after waking up. He wasn't wrong; the sight of it was indeed majestic.

Well, this beholding moment didn't last for long because the memories of the night broke in his skull. He got goosebumps the moment he thought about yesterday night. It was the most horrifying moment of his life.

"I can still feel that sensation in my gut..."

He got chills down his spine just from thinking about it. Though he was no longer in pain, he could still feel that sensation in him. That sensation was something that would stick with him forever.

He tried to check his surroundings and check if there was any damage that he had done yesterday to counter the pain by pain. He bloodied his fist and the flesh of his fist splattered all over the room as he punched the wall yesterday night.

"I should clean up the evidence before she arrives."

He tried to get up but soon realized that he was in the same condition as before nothing had changed. He was still in the same position, although it looked like his arms had gained their deserved strength.

"I forgot I am still the same person as yesterday. I got no strength in my body, it shot up because of the unbearable amount of pain."

He became fearful because of how Alaya would react if she found out about that fleshly mess and his knuckles naked without a bit of flesh on them.

He wasn't fearful because she would be angry. No, that wasn't the case; he was fearful because of her insane worry. She would be worried to death, and he knew that. He wouldn't have been fearful if she got angry.

"At least I have regained strength in my arm. Let's see how much damage I had done to myself. I am not even feeling pain in my hands."

He thought that he had damaged his hands so much that he couldn't even feel in them. He was hoping to see his hands destroyed, but when he brought it in front of his face and saw it was completely fine.

"What!? How!? I'm sure there was no flesh on it! How is it completely healed?"

He was startled. He didn't know how something like that was possible. He couldn't help but have a bewildered look on his face as he stared at his hands.

'What about the other damages? They must be present. There must be blood stains on the bed.'

With just a command, he inclined his bed and looked at his surroundings to find the traces of yesterday's struggle. But surprisingly, there was nothing. There were no stains of blood and flesh, it was completely tidy as if nothing had happened there.

"There is nothing! No stains at all! Believing that was a dream is fooling me because that was too real to be a dream."

He was right, the horrid night he had experienced was indeed true, but there wasn't any evidence of it anymore. The damage he had done to himself had been healed miraculously. It felt as if nothing had happened, but only Lloyd knew the pain.

"I can't remember anything clearly except the pain. My memories are fuzzy. I can't remember clearly..."

"What were those windows that popped up in front of me? There was some written on them but I couldn't read them because of the agony."

He tried to look into the memories of the night, but those memories were either blurred or completely blacked out. They were simply of no use. The only thing that was clear in those memories was his torment.

Many questions popped into his mind, but no one was there to answer them. He didn't know what had happened after he fell unconscious.

His rambling continued until she entered his room. The moment she entered she was shocked at the sight. She saw him awake. It was a rare sight to see for her. A smile of joy and satisfaction showed up on her face.

"Good morning, young master." She greeted him and slightly bowed.

"Good morning, Alaya." He greeted her back.

"Isn't great to experience the cold breeze of the early morning, young master?" She said while she did her work in the room.

"It is." He said with a smile.

She helped him to recover from this weakened state.

She fed him plenty of nutritious food and properly treated him because of this he began to make a steady recovery. With each passing day, his condition got better and better. It was only because of restless effort.

The recovery first took effect on his upper body, then slowly it reached his lower body. In just a mere week he made a great recovery.

He began to walk again without any trouble.

"Ohh, he is healing rapidly if it continued like this then in just a week he will make a full recovery without any trouble."

The old priest checked him again and he was amazed at how rapidly he had recovered. It was nothing sort of a miracle for a boy who was on the verge of death a few days ago.

Soon another week also passed, and he had made a full recovery. He was better than ever, he never felt so healthy.

"Congratulations, young master."

Her eyes teared up from happiness because her hard work hadn't gone in vain.

"It's all thanks to you! I don't know if I will be ever to pay back this debt."

He thanked her sincerely because that was the least he could do as he was so powerless. If it wasn't for her extensive care, there was no chance of him making it alive.

"No-no! It's my duty as your servant!"

After that, they chatted for quite a bit.

"Let's get to work..."

He said after Alaya left the room.
