Kapitel 104: Lovebirds play folktale

Next day,

Hospital

Walking in with the medical report, the doctor inquired, "Patient's family?"

Clutching her hands on his coat, "Yes doctor, how–how is he?" Before he could say anything, Petra panickly remarked, "Tell me Grayson is fine. Listen I––I––I stabbed him, I am a bad woman."

Looking at the castrated and frustrated woman standing in front of him, the doctor sighed and patted her shoulder, "Ma'am, take a deep breath. He is fine."

"That's what you said yesterday when he was admitted." Bursting into tears, "He has been on oxygen since yesterday and you call that fine?"

"Ma'am, I assure you that he is fine. All you have to do right now, go home and rest." He sighed.

Vigorously nodding her head, Petra snapped, "No, I can't go home right now. How will I go home when the father of my kids is lying here."

"After the donation of three pounds of blood you did for him yesterday, it's enough for you to go home and relax."

Pausing for a while, he added, "You can come back later after some while. I'm sure he'll be awake by then."

Slumping on the chair beside Grayson's bed, she intertwined her fingers with his. "Doctor, you carry on. I don't want to go home now. I'll patiently wait for him to wake up before I take my leave."

"Alright if you say so." Making his way towards the unconscious patient, the doctor cross-checked on him for a while before taking his leave.

Placing her head on his chest, she closed her eyes into a deep sleep.

....

After a long while, Collins and Laura walked in. With an astonish expression on their face, they stare at each other and hurried towards them.

"Petra, Petra."

Lifting her head, Petra slipped her messy hair to one side. Rubbing her sleepy eyes, "I stabbed him, I purposely did it, am not a good woman. Am bad, automatically evil." She muttered opening her eyes.

"Petra–" Rushing towards the half sleeping haggard woman, Laura rubbed her back, "Petra, I know you didn't do anything."

Standing beside her, Collins added, "Stop talking nonsense, you need to take a chill pill Petra."

"I kno–know wh–what am saying, I did it on purpose. Am not good, I did it intentionally." She muttered.

"Looking at his wife, Collins sighed, "Bring in the breakfast."

Storming out of her deep sleep, Petra snapped, "Wait–what! Do I look hungry to you? Do you show sympathy to a murderer?"

"Petra, you're not a murderer. I know you're not and what you did wasn't on purpose–"

Cutting Laura off, Collins squatted down, "Listen Petra, I understand your deep regrets right now but you have to stay quiet and eat something, okay?"

"No I can't," Pointing at herself, she stated, "I am responsible for his breakdown. I am the reason why he is admitted, you have to believe me I did it on purpose. I am such a selfish jerk, I got angry, I grabbed a knife and–and–and I stabbed him for countless times and–"

"We know you did it intentionally but it wasn't your fault." Laura consoled.

"Of course it is my fault. I deliberately did it out of anger. I should be in prison, probably hanging out with my fellow murderers." She snapped.

Looking at his wife, Collins stated, "Honey, we can't allow her to go home like this. What will Sebastian and Nelly probably think?"

Nodding her head in agreement, "Yes sweetie, you're right." Turning towards Petra, she sighed, "She's looking fustrated and haggard right now. If Sebastian or Nelly sees her like this, definitely they're gonna suspect something fishy."

"Hmmm, so in that case what are we going to do? She's can't go home right now with these swollen red eyes and paled appearance."

"I know what to do." Taking her phone out, Laura added, "I'll call Sebastian and tell him she went on a seminar and will be back few days after."

"Precisely, please do right away."

Without wasting any time, Laura made her way out of the room.

Placing his hand on her shoulder, "It's alright, he's gonna be fine. Nothing bad is going to happen to him, okay?"

Helplessly shaking her head, Petra placed her head on Grayson's chest and fell into a deep sleep again.

After some while, two police men came in. "Good day sir,"

"Good day officers, how may I help you?"

"Actually minster, we came to seek the ex wife of Mr Grayson Flynn." One of the officer politely answered.

"And if I may ask, who instructed you guys to come seeking for her?" Collins raised his brows.

"Well sir, you–"

"I asked a question, please give me an instant feedback." He frowned.

Just then Laura walked in. Scrunching her brows, "Honey, did you call the police?"

Tuckling his hands into his pockets, he raised his brows, "Do you think I did?" Looking at the officers, "Please don't keep me waiting."

"Sincerely sir, Mrs Lorena Flynn filed a report complaint against the woman whom stabbed her husband yesterday morning." Another officer explained.

"Lorena did what? How dare she cross her boundaries?" Clenching her hands into a fist, Laura snapped, "Oh mercy me, I swear, am gonna–"

Cutting her off, Collins slowly rubbed his arm on hers. Smiling at the police officers, "This is a family issue, not an official one. With all due respect officers, please excuse us."

"But sir–"

"If you insist for confirmation, I can surely assure you that there was no such thing like stabbing. My brother is lying here base on a domestic house accident. He lost his balance on the stair and fell on his rib." Collins smiled.

"Is he–"

Cutting the officer off, Laura retorted, "Are you deaf, didn't you hear what my husband just said? What more are you curious about? Oh I get it, Lorena also paid you guys to stick your nose into other people's businesses?"

Getting embarrassed and irritated of the conversation, the police officers quietly excused themselves out of the room.

Looking at his wild wife, Collins chuckled. "Honey, they're gone, breath."
