Green Zone.
The so-called Green Zone is an area of about ten square kilometers in the center of Baghdad. Since the occupation of Baghdad in 2003, the United States had established this highly guarded area, heavily fortified and off-limits to anyone without permission.
Inside the Green Zone were the U.S. Embassy and the highest level of Iraqi government departments, along with many other countries' embassies. Although the United States had nominally handed the Green Zone back to Iraq, in reality, it was still in the hands of the Americans.
Essentially, the Green Zone was a city within a city, a state within a state, yet relatively speaking, it was also the safest place in all of Baghdad.
After twice being checked, Gao Guang finally entered the Green Zone and was directly taken to the Warfire Group's headquarters in Baghdad, which was an unassuming three-story building within the Zone.
