Kapitel 29: Noisy Judy

Matilda's POV:

I walked slowly back down a gravel path. A line of black SUVs was waiting to leave. I couldn't believe I was leaving. I was still dreaming. Alpha Baron was standing next to the tall SUV, following me with his gaze. They looked dark, like a storm in the sky after a storm.

He walked toward me, his shoes clattering on the ground, and I stared at him, watching him approach me.

Baron grabbed my hand very hard, and I frowned in pain, trying to shake his hand off. "Let go of me!" His grip was like a soldering iron, holding me tightly.

It felt bad, worse than ever.

He finally realized that he was hurting me. He loosened his grip but still did not let go of me.

"I don't like you being too close to him." He was silent for a moment.

"This has nothing to do with you! Who do you think you are?" I finally broke free. I took a trembling breath and walked past him toward the car.
