Kapitel 31: 2.13 His own choices

Cillian got into the elevator but before the doors could close someone put his hand in the middle and they opened again. He stood at the side when he saw who it was.

Lydia pressed the button and looked at Cillian. He was looking ahead seemingly unbothered by her presence.

"Cillian?"

Cillian looked at her.

She asked sadly:

"Are you angry with me?"

"Why would you think that?"

"Because you've been cold and ignoring me since we've been here. You don't even call me mother anymore."

Lydia raised Cillian not because she loved him but because she knew how much Silas loved Leia so she was sure that their relationship wouldn't work if they didn't get along.

Lydia was Silas' friend before they married so she saw with her own eyes his relationship with Leia develop and she was jealous because she's always been in love with him.
