Emperor Blade was shaken by the news of Leon's death. He was initially worried that his son was yet to return with news but convinced himself that things may be far more complicated than expected and Leon was yet to get the opportunity to strike. Hearing he was dead now left the emperor shattered mentally.

With a blank expression on his face, he rose to his feet as he staggered back a bit. His bearing was lost, and his balance was off as his head spun around with various thoughts. 

The main reason for his hatred towards Sol was that Atlas prophesied that the wandering soul would be the reason for the fall of the Blade family. As a man who truly loved his family above everything else, Emperor Blade was determined to put Sol down before this prophecy came to pass.
