The room was been rampaged by the flames started by Tristan. After fighting for a while and leaving the forbidden palace to burn for a while, Damon knew most of the ordinary humans here should be dead. Like now on what used to be the bed but now covered in rubbles, Damon could tell two people were underneath, burning!

His eyes squinted but he didn't make a move, they were already dead. His body quickly blended with the shadows created by the flames and there he waited for what should be considered the most intense battle of his life!
