Kapitel 187: The future is machine

Kelly dragged herself across the road like a cripple. The laser shot had taken out a large chunk of her femur along with a whole cluster of nerves and muscles. Her right leg was in condition to support her weight, and any attempt to stand up would only cause her unbearable pain. She was still lucky it wasn't a bullet wound, or the blood loss would have proved to be fatal.

The last teleport had saved Kelly from the android's blade, but she wasn't likely to give up the pursuit that easily. Kelly knew she had to make it back to Olympus to escape the android's clutches. Little by little, she dragged her body forward. It was a lot slower than walking, but she made steady progress. With her eyes glued to the walls of the city, she kept pulling herself forward through the maze of wrecked cars.
