Kapitel 159: A new hope

A new day brought with it new hope and a chance for revival. For the first time in many months, the dazzling rays of the midday sun filtered through the smog cover and lit up the ruins on the surface. With the machines beating a full retreat, the pollution level had gone down drastically in Sorus. Though the air remained unbreathable, the visibility improved quite significantly.

With the android dead and no new threats looming on the horizon, the Resistance fighters were able to move freely across the district and set up more defensive emplacements. Four more ATSDLs were installed in the housing zone and the walls were secured with automatic laser cannons. 

The fighters knew that retaking Sorus was only the beginning. Holding the district was going to be the real challenge. So far the Prime had only sent an android to test their defenses. But she had plenty of other options as well. They had to be fully prepared to repel a large-scale machine attack.
