Clearing the first two Settler Camps was a walk in the park for the Resistance fighters, but Shane knew the real challenge lay ahead.
A wide open road branching into multiple streets led to the last Settler Camp. Ruined buildings lay on both sides of the main road. These three-story houses used to serve as forward-posts for the Resistance fighters, but they were quickly abandoned when the Prime sent her hunters squads after them.
Shane still remembered those grueling nights. Many men and women had died defending their last bastion of hope. Though they were outnumbered and outgunned, they had put up a solid fight. They would have died fighting the machines if Shane hadn't made the call to retreat.
As the convoy was moving down the road, Shane spotted something in the distance. He immediately pulled out his binoculars and zoomed in on the ground. His eyes widened as he noticed four glowing silver pylons up ahead.
Watchers: The Watchers are unmanned, lightly armored, autonomous ATVs equipped with two secondary shotguns and a main minigun. They are half the size of a stock XL11 and can traverse all kinds of terrains. These machines are pre-programmed to patrol marked areas and attack any intruders.
A Watcher is a Defender class vehicle that has both mid-ranged as well as close combat capabilities. It has no thermal detection or bionic scanning mechanism and is largely dependent on its main camera to spot targets.
