"So, you're the lab's new test-tube baby?" a husky voice called out from behind. "I've been hearing so much about you. And to think we'd meet so soon!"

"Screw you!" Kevin snapped. He tried to turn his head around, but his neck was as stiff as an unyielding block of iron. His sense of hearing was still functional, and his voice box remained unaffected, but he couldn't move a single joint.

The owner of the voice spared Kevin the effort by coming forward himself. He was still wearing a black iron mask with holes for eyes and a rectangular slit revealing his lips. Unlike the other Raiders, he wasn't wearing the usual combination of laser-cut jeans and a buttoned shirt. He was wearing a blue jean jacket, frayed at the edges, paired with a graphic printed tee and faded brown trousers.
