The paper in my hand crumbled into ashes, fluttering to the floor.
"Luna?" Qixu eagerly looked up from her tablet, "was it bad news?"
I glanced at the closed door, "where is Dax?"
She nervously gripped the tablet tighter, "he left for Mt. QingLong as soon as he finished speaking with the council last night, did he not say goodbye?"
Cold, I felt so cold.
"No."
"Luna, can you tell me what is happening between you and my brother?" She leaned forward expectantly.
"I-" Hearing her call him her brother brought a pang of pain to my heart. Her brother was dead.
"I don't know."
She sighed, placing the tablet down, "so what did Emperor Hangzhi say?"
"They want me to go back," I groaned, rubbing my aching temples. I should feel excited, or at least happy to escape this pit of vipers...
"Will that be okay?" She asked concerned.

Luna may have also reset herself; however, she's managed to break through some barriers to recalling two lives. Through this, you see the changes in her personality and thought patterns, but I've done my best to keep her 'essence' the same.
For me, I feel like souls are a bundle of energy, no matter the outside influence, it's very being can only be altered or adjusted but never truly changed.
What are your thoughts?
