"Momma," Izzy's melodic voice called out across the cornfield. It was six years from the day Alex left my life.

A fully grown Helios wove around her while she ran, arms outstretched. Her hands ran along the corn, without a care in the world.

This was the carefree life Hannah wanted for her.

At first, her little fetus had been a heavyweight entrapping me here. Now, she was a heavyweight that kept my soul anchored.
