Steven was angry that he had failed his mission, which was to have a drug-free society. And for that, he needed to take down this ring that was controlling every single distribution taht was going on throughout the country.
But now, the drugs were going global. The drugs that he didn't want to be distributed in his country were now spreading out into the world, shattering his every single possibility of making a drug-free society.
The frenzy got to his head, and he pulled out his gun and placed it on Mouse's head. In turn, there was a barrel aimed right at his head, and the two were standing in a face-off position. Steven smirked as he looked him in the eye, with the frenzy running wild in him.
"If tomorrow's operation fails, then I won't see her alive?", he hissed. All he got as a response was a smirk, and a slight nod indicating a yes from him. He pulled his gun back and placed it to his back, securing it in place.
As he left the door, his mind was in overdrive as he was thinking of a plan to save both his woman and society.
"I'll make sure that the packages make it to the airport. Just keep the personnel ready", he announced as he was about to turn and leave.
"Oh, don't worry about that. Zebra would be there to see to it in person. And it's Farnborough Airport", he said as he watched Steven leave the door.
The sky was having a downpour as he was leaving, and so was his heart. He remembered the promise he had made to his woman, that he was leaving this life behind him, and vowed to start anew. He knew that would be possible if he did a good of being an undercover agent.
"Let's see. I might get a life sentence if I was exposed. Now that everything has come down to this, there is only one way. Either I seek refuge in this circle, unable to escape, or I take them down, going to prison with the satisfaction that I had rid the world of this syndicate", he thought.
He was drenched as he was deep in thought, and he walked back to the place where he had stayed hidden. He walked past all the things that were scattered around and plopped himself into the bed.
He was drained from all the things that he had experienced today. His cover was blown, and if they decided to frame him for everything that he had done undercover, he was going to get a death sentence or 25 years to life.
The past three years and everything that he had done to reach this point ran through his mind, and he pulled out his gun, opened his mouth, and placed the barrel in.
"Hahaha, what am I thinking? A drug-free society? That is something that will never happen when the country is run by crooks in the first place", he laughed maniacally as he looked out the window in his room.
Just as he was about to pull the trigger, his girlfriend popped into his head. The woman who made him feel what love was. The woman who he would give everything just to see a smile on her face. That face appeared in his head, and he pulled out the gun from his mouth.
"Yeah. I still have to save her from their clutches. Who knows what they would do to her just to get back to me?", he thought as he laid back down again. He began to formulate a plan in his head and saw every possibility fly out the window.
"The only way I can get her out of this predicament is to get myself into this predicament, have a shootout with the police, and have the drugs reach the other side safely. Which would mean I would have to turn against the whole nation" he thought as he kept his gun a safe distance away from him.
He knew that he had two days until the transport happened, and from what Mouse had told him, he was sure that the places the trucks are leaving from will be the same. But he had to make sure of the route now, and give them the wrong route.
"Now, I have told them already that there will be trucks moving around with the load. But what I am about to suggest is going to sound crazy to them, as I am the only one who will be able to pull this off", he laughed as he picked up his phone.
"Mouse, I need a lab. And I need one other person as an assistant, and I know who's the best for you people. I want Zebra", he said in a commanding voice. He heard a chuckle from the other side, and a solid yes.
After an hour, he was driving his car towards an abandoned shed, which was one of the cooking stations for the drugs that were being distributed. The drugs were all packaged in small packets and neatly stacked aside, and a man with a zebra-striped mask was standing in front of him.
"Zebra, how about we turn this, into candy?", he suggested. Zebra was confused about how he would be able to turn a powdered drug into candy, and that too which was a consumable.
"We are making these drugs in a cold environment. And using this to our advantage, I am sure that we will be able to make these into random colored candy by adding various food process colorings, and thus it will look like candy when solidified", he suggested.
Zebra's eyes widened in shock as he had a really good realization, and he began to quickly work on a small sachet of the from the lot of drugs. In a few minutes, he had worked up a solution and brought it to Steven.
He picked up the small candy, which was irregular in size and had a shiny blue color. He looked at it through the light, and he had a smile across his face as he could see no signs that indicated that this was a drug.
Plopping it into his mouth and taking a bite, he felt the candy instantly melt into his mouth, and the effects of the drug were much faster than it normally was. Steven was satisfied and the work began, turning every drug sachet into a small bag of irregular-sized colorful candies.
