Kapitel 47: Chapter 47 True Form

"I wasn't joking" Theodore replied seriously.

"What are you?" Cindy asked, taking him serious this time.

After almost a minute of silence, Cindy began to talk;

"If you don't want to..."

"Elf. An elf" Theodore interjected, looking into her eyes.

"Elf?" Cindy asked in disbelief.

"Yes" Theodore

"Wow.... I thought you were a werewolf, thanks to your physique" Cindy said as she smiled happily.

"Honestly, I am a half breed" Theodore began.

"So you're half human, half elf?" Cindy asked curiously.

"No. A half elf, half sorcerer" Theodore replied honestly.

"Huh? A sorcerer?" Cindy asked in absolute disbelief.

"Yes, my father was an elf and my mother was a sorceress"

"Wow, you're superb!" Cindy exclaimed happily.

"Yeah, kind of" Theodore replied looking away from her.

"Kind of?" Cindy asked puzzled.

"I had to train so hard, to be strong. I was almost, always training with the soldiers. So I am not the kind of 'born superb guy' you think I am" Theodore clarified.

"How did you know what I was thinking?" Cindy asked as she stifled a laugh.

"The look on your face, when you said 'superb' gave you away" Theodore said as he watched her smile.

"Can you cast spells?" Cindy asked suddenly intrigued.

"I didn't learn sorcery, though, I am plagued with visions sometimes" Theodore replied honestly.

"I see. Can I see your true form?" Cindy asked.

"My true form?" Theodore asked surprised by Cindy's bold request. If there was anything he didn't have confidence in, it was his true form. He was told as a child and teenager, he looked too odd to be accepted as an elf. He was never treated as a true elf, and couldn't escape the names halfling and half breed. Unfortunately for him, sorcerers weren't willing to accept him either because he looked too different to be a sorcerer. No sorcerer volunteered to teach him, not even his own mother did. As a result, he stopped showing his true form to anyone and now, the only woman whose request he couldn't refuse, was asking to see his true form. He didn't plan on showing her his true form any moment soon but what could he do.

"Are you sure you want to see my true form?" Theodore asked

"Yes, I can't wait to see your true form" Cindy replied smiling reassuringly.

"I must warn you, my true form isn't anything likable. It's very disgusting" Theodore said trying to discourage Cindy.

"I still want to see it. I'll judge it for myself" Cindy replied stubbornly.

"If you say so" Theodore said, looking into her eyes and began to transform.

"You call that grim? That's magnificent! You look dangerously handsome!" Cindy exclaimed happily, after Theodore had completely transformed into his true form.

His face remained the same, just his ears were pointy, his normal brown eyes were red, with swirls of blue light dancing in them every now and then and his hair looked so lustrous especially the grey hairs.

Cindy just couldn't believe her eyes. That was the most beautiful creature, she'd ever seen. And he thought he looked grim? Theodore's vulnerability when he tried to discourage Cindy from wanting to see his true form was not lost on her. What could make her husband feel so insecure about his true form? Cindy raised her hand to touch Theodore in his true form and he closed his eyes. She touched his pointy ears and moved her hands along his eyebrows.

"Open your eyes. I want to see them" Cindy said as she softly fisted a handful of his hair. His hair was so soft.

Theodore slowly opened his eyes, and they met that of Cindy's.

"I can look at you in your true form, all my life without getting fed up. I love every bit of you Theodore" Cindy said and crushed her lips on Theodore's, catching him off guard.
