Kapitel 8: The Poison

The soldiers pushed me into a dark, damp prison, where the stench of decay almost made me vomit. Rats and cockroaches crawled under my feet, and sewage from the ceiling dripped onto my dress. I couldn't even find a clean spot, and as soon as I moved, my feet were stuck to something sticky. Perhaps a dead rat or someone else's feces.

In the cell opposite me, two guards were torturing prisoners. They stripped the male prisoner naked, made him kneel, and whipped him. The screams of the male prisoner made me shudder.

I was so scared that I wanted to cry, but I could only curl up in a dark corner. I didn't dare make a sound. If I had the misfortune to attract the guards' attention, I was afraid their whips would fall on me.

God, what should I do?
