Kapitel 263: Fears Being Confirmed

After Mason had taken Layla back to her apartment and she had cleaned up and changed her dress, he drove her back to the hospital. 

She stayed with him at the hospital all through the day not bothering to go to her classes. She only left Jason's side when Ava and Maddie came to the hospital and after they left, she went back to being by his side.

Later that night, she was holding his hand, silently crying that he forgives her when she felt his fingers move over hers. 

"You are going to develop a headache if you continue to cry this hard," came Jason's hoarse voice. 

Layla raised her head to see he had woken up. "Oh my God, you are awake," she gasped cleaning her tears with the back of her palm. 

"Who or what is making you cry?" He asked with concern. He spoke slower than usual. 

Layla smiled she can't believe he is still looking out for her even in his sick bed. 

"I'm so happy that you are awake. I should go and call the doctor."
