"Try me," Maddie said to her mother crossing her legs and folding her arms.
"What makes her a monster."
Edith exhaled loudly as she turned to look at her daughter.
"What I'm about to tell you, no one knows that I know about it. You mustn't tell to anyone. Do you understand me?"
"Most definitely mum." Maddie said with a nod.
Edith fell silent, there was a distant look in her eyes it was as if she was remembering something. Something long, long forgotten.
Maddie was silent too as she waited for her mother to speak.
"So I used to work for the Taylors so many years back as a chef. Back then when I first started working there Mason and Jason were still quite young."
Edith's face broke into a smile. "Oh their mother, God rest her soul, she was a very kind and lovely woman, she was very social until she took ill."
