Kapitel 46: Off Limits

The following morning, Ava woke up to the sound of the alarm on her phone. She reached for it and turned it off.

"I can't believe I slept off in my work clothes," she mumbled using the back of her palm to clean her eyes. Stretched on the bed which felt soft against her body, compared to the one she and Maddie shared in their apartment.

"I wish I didn't have to get up." She curled herself into a ball, closing her eyes momentarily.

She still felt jet-lagged and wanted to continue sleeping but she didn't have the time for that, she needed to get ready to meet with Mason. She dragged herself out of bed and went into the bathroom to brush her teeth and have her bath.

An hour later Ava, was seated in the hotel lobby waiting for Mason to come down for their meeting.
