After he attempted to end his life, when Haneul woke up in the hospital, he refused to speak. 

When the doctor finally allowed him to meet people, he refused to meet the three pairs of eyes staring at him with concern. He asked 'her' to leave, stating her hatred for the hospital. But she still stayed by his side despite her discomfort.
