Declan stretched his hand towards her, his lips curled, the disappointment in his heart disappearing.
Yasmin took his hand and moved closer to the horse, her heart thumping.
"Have faith in me," he reassured her, then helped her mount the horse.
She was thrilled, but she was shaking. Her whole body is tense. The horse moved a little.
A shriek escaped her mouth.
She thought it would start running the way it did a while ago.
"Relax." Declan gave her the reins. "Hold it." He gave her the reins.
Yasmin looked at him with apprehension. How was she going to relax? It was her first time riding a horse. She was not as experienced as he was. It was unfair to expect her to feel at ease in a matter of minutes.
She hesitantly took the leather reins, which felt rough and tough to touch. She clasped it tightly as if her life depended on it. Her heart rate increased, even more, when the horse started trotting.
