Derrek came to see Yasmin not long after Declan had left for work. He intended to spend more and more time with her, as he assumed that by doing so, he would be able to win her heart slowly.
Yasmin grinned widely and welcomed him. "Have a seat." She nodded to the sofa. "You are very early today. Have you eaten breakfast?"
"Will you eat with me if I say I haven't?"
Yasmin laughed softly. "I have already had breakfast. But I can have one more glass of juice." She turned to the kitchen, where Amy was working. "Amy, could you serve breakfast for Derrek?"
"Sure."
Amy made potato pancakes quickly and served them hot with syrup.
