Kapitel 556: The Funeral

"Exhausted!" was all she said as she closed her eyes.

A deep sigh escaped her lips but it was more of a relief as she did not accuse any of them further.

He pressed the bell and soon Ophelia entered with a maid. She was already dressed in a black lace gown. When Alex looked at her with a questioning gaze, her eyes squinted and her lips pressed into a thin line.

"I have been waiting at the door all this time. Who would have thought that you.." she bit her lips and glared at him but did not continue.

Alex stood up from the bed. Clad only in a bathrobe. He went to the adjoining room to give them some privacy.

Ophelia sighed. Her eyes looked at her sister with worry as she walked and wrapped her arms around her sister.

"Sometimes you forget that you need as much as others. Stop giving others and think about yourself too." 

The words were full of warmth instead of chiding as she rubbed Oli's back who quiverd a bit.
