¬ HILN
I had visited a few noble families, and the last for that evening before I was whisked away was by far the most intriguing if not shocking.
It was a middle-class noble family with a stout man with greying hair, a fidgeting wife, and a tall, beautiful daughter. She was very fair to the extent that one could mistake her for a serpent if not for her red eyes. She looked even more slender than I was. Nearly thin.
Rather than the content of the conference itself, the mother brought up small talk and the father cut in, getting to the main reason he wanted an audience with me based on his vibrating presence eager to burst out from his invisible shackles.
This chapter made me sad :'(
