"He frowned when he saw the clear liquid inside the container. "What kind of potion is this? Why does it smell like— "

"It's unappetizing." She turned her head away. "You should look at the strength of the substance rather than the smell. It could save someone's life. I mean, the quality is excellent."

"This is an Elixir of Hunger?" Damon asked.

"Yes."

"And you made this?'

"Yes."

"You can make potions?"

"What do you mean?" she asked.

"There aren't many witches who can make potions."

"Oh…" Ava nodded. The Shaman didn't tell her about this. In fact, he made it sound like every witch should learn how to brew a potion.

"The quality is good."

"So, are you going to buy it?"

"No." Damon stared at her. "I don't like smelly things."

Ava was taken aback. Was it really that important? This Elixir is going to save their lives! Why was the smell so important?
