The smell of blood and burnt flesh filled Matthew's study. Two bodies lay lifeless on the ground. Matthew looked at his own brother with disgust.

"Using magick against me?" he hissed.

"I have no choice brother." Kieran Graydon smiled gently. Yet to Matthew, that smile showed nothing but contempt. "Mother and father asked you to come back. You didn't. Were you expecting them to sit and watch you waste your time in this… mundane world?"

"What I do has nothing to do with them."

"You are the future King of Lycans!"

"Not anymore." Matthew eyed two of his men who were lying on the ground. Life was no longer visible in their opened eyes. Then he stared at the culprit. Erenes.

Donned in black, the woman's fox-like eyes and sharp features were indifferent. Against a strong elder witch like Erenes, the Lycans working for Matthew were powerless.
