Heather stood up and gave Gerard a hug.
It was actually Gerard's family who took her in when she first came here.
He became a second father figure to her. He and his family had accepted her despite her shady background.
Gave her a warmth that helped her to continue on with her life despite the number of times she tried giving up.
How many times had she flown so low only to rise back up whenever Gerard and his family's face pop up in her mind? Followed by Adam, Elizabeth and Wesley. Then, she'd find herself crying for not knowing what she should be doing.
The reason she was able to push through until she met Cyrus and finally got the chance to find purpose in her life.
Their death is akin to her family dying.
So, knowing of the events of that timeline made her actually lose her family not only once but twice.
She didn't want to experience that pain ever again.
None of them must die.
