3.55% Ghost in your Cabinet / Chapter 7: "I'll be the most good person you'll ever meet!"

Kapitel 7: "I'll be the most good person you'll ever meet!"

Many individuals have complex views about apologizing, and not all of our ideas and feelings about apologizing are consistent. Some of us were compelled to apologize as youngsters when we wounded someone, while others freely apologized and felt instantly better. Some people are embarrassed when we apologize, while others are ashamed until we do.

If you've done anything that has caused another person distress, it's a good idea to apologize, even if it was inadvertent. This is due to the fact that apologizing opens the door to conversation, allowing you to reconnect with the individual who was harmed.

But is it still valid to apologize for something that happened a decade ago?

Jerrod felt skeptical about the idea of trying to make up with Larissa, who is tormenting him for what he unintentionally did long ago.

Why do ghosts and nightmares appear now?

Why didn't it appear right after he rejected Larissa? Wouldn't he be more sincere in his apology if he realized his fault at that time?

"Make up with her?"

Jerrod repeated what his assistant suggested doing. He thought saying those short, harsh words a decade ago was not a good reason for tormenting him, causing him to not be able to sleep properly and be hunted by ghost.

He only said those words with no meaning behind them.

"Well, then, should I just apologize?" He said reluctantly, because he knew that it was not worth apologizing for.

Internally, he thought, "She is the one who should apologize to me! She ruined my day! My life! My sleep!"

"But sir, I think apologizing is not a good thing." Another of his office mates interjected.

Jerrod's officemates were so into helping him, and some of them had already had their say.

"You should treat her well instead." she suggested.

"What? Why?"

Jerrod tipped his head as he didn't get to where his office mates' advice was leading him to.

"I presume she was hurt because of your harsh words."

Jerrod nodded his head to give his officemate a chance to explain his reasoning.

"It's because you feel guilty about what happened that she keeps appearing in your dreams."

"But I don't feel guilty at all."

Of course, Jerrod couldn't say that out loud. He will be criticized if he does so. Jerrod couldn't remember Larissa at all, not until the ghost that looked like her started hunting him. Even back then, he instantly forgot about Larissa as he felt like her confession was not important at all.

"And sir, if you were to apologize for your own comfort, she probably wouldn't accept it."

"I guess so too, since it wasn't anything serious to begin with."

"No. No. Sir it must be serious because your subconscious is feeling guilty, resulting from those dreams."

"Yes, he is right, sir. So try to make up with her by being good to her and treating her well. befriend her."

"If she feels comfortable with you, then she'll accept your apology. and then you'll no longer have those dreams."

His officemates look proud and confident in their advice, as if they took Jerrod's problem as easy as pie.

"It's not that simple, okay." He groaned. He can't tell them about the ghost. That is why they are taking his problem too lightly. However, he appreciated his officemates' concern and effort in sharing their good advice with him.

"It's simple, sir. You're so good-looking, sir! You can charm her with your looks!"

"Hey! What do you mean, charm? He will make up with her, not seduce her!"

Jerrod let out a sigh and just let his officemates talk about his dream more while on their break. He doesn't want to think about it more as he feels tired from lacking sleep.

"Fuck!"

His officemates were startled by his sudden cursing, which he ended up saying an excuse, "S-sorry, I just remembered I forgot something to email. I'll be going back first."

Jerrod hurriedly went out of the pantry while clutching his chest from fear.

"The fucking ghost is still following me!"

He was not prepared for his officemate to suddenly open their cabinet, exposing the ghost that he could only see. He had unintentional eye contact with the ghost that almost brought him a heart attack.

"Larris Mutya, I really need to make her stop those bad dreams and bad luck she's giving me!"

Jerrod began to blame everything on Larissa and was convinced that she was the reason behind his suffering.

How come the ghost looks like her?

How come he began dreaming of her after they met?

and

Why does she need to make him suffer now when their incident happened ten years ago?

Jerrod clenched his fist and decided to visit Larissa at the convenience store again.

"Let's solve my problems one at a time. I'll work on gaining his affection! charm, good looks, or whatever! The goal is to build a good reputation for myself. Once she opens up to me, I'll apologize. Then those dreams will be gone, and I can ward off the ghost along the way!"

Jerrod was full of determination, convincing himself that he could solve his problem with ghosts and dreams alone.

"Larissa Mutya, you'll see, I'll be the most good person you'll ever meet!"
