William left Marion in the car, just like that. He no longer looked at the condition of the girl after he left. William was only sure that Marion would not leave the car and obeyed as he was told.
William stood in front of the doctor's office door, staring at a woman who was there with a cold gaze. Emily Jefferson, who had been busy with patient records at first, looked up and found William, quickly getting up from her chair.
"What are you doing here?" asked the woman, which suddenly made the well-built man in front of her snort.
"You're still in this world, apparently. I thought you were dead," he sneered.
The woman who was twice William's age just sighed. "We might need some time to talk. So much time has passed and you still think the same about me."
"What are you going to do? You've been gone for so long, but still with your ego not thinking at all—"
