As Lord Rodrick turned the corner and disappeared from view, Neveah stepped into Jian's quarters.
She slowly let the door go closed behind her while her gaze took in the space.
Jian's quarters were gigantic, though much like Menarx's, it was sparsely decorated and more than Menarx's, there was a far more desolate aura hanging heavily in the air.
Other than his separate study down the hall, there was also a work space in Jian's private quarters, with a large work desk set in the middle.
This space itself was twice as large as Neveah's room as an attendant. And then there was a lounge area with couches and a center table, and then his bedroom. There were some doors along the wall that led to other adjoining rooms for whatever purposes.
Neveah ventured in, walking over to one of the doors, she pushed it open and was surprised to step into a small, cozy library, with towering shelves overflowing with scrolls and books.
