"Yes... I will admit that my clan have their own arrangements...but I was never a part of it... though I am certain nothing I can say would change your opinion of me." 

"You have every reason to doubt my intentions...but the one thing I hope you can believe is that I would never do anything to harm Menarx...never." Adrienne finally said in a tone barely above a whisper.

"It is not I who needs to be convinced of your sincerity. In a few days, I will leave... and it will be up to you how you choose to face your troubles."

"I do not need your secrets. Do what you will with them. I will go to Menarx only because I wish for him to be safe and well, and not because of you." Neveah made clear as she got off her bed.

Neveah walked over to her closet, fetching a change of clothing.

"You knew already...where he is..." Adrienne murmured in realization.
