Kapitel 315: You Do NOT Have To

"What is it?" Greg asked curiously.

Laney took a few calming breaths before getting it out as calmly as she could. "I was just telling Olivia how I wanted her to be my maid of honor for when I marry Richard. We want to do it before my pregnancy is too obvious so—"

"WHAT?! You're getting married to a guy you've only known for a couple of months?"

"I have to! It's for the baby's sake."

"You do NOT have to. You could just keep dating to see if things work out that way. This sort of situation is not the right time to throw marriage into the mix!" Greg argued. 

Laney should have expected that someone would try to talk her out of it but she hadn't thought it would be him. It made her heart ache. He was looking out for her as always but didn't realize how much it hurt because of her stupid, pointless feelings for him. 

"I know what I'm doing, Greg."
