The words automatically left her mouth and she regretted it. never had she regretted speaking before thinking like this time!

"Are you challenging me?!" He asked with a sinister glint in his eyes.

"No, I…" Kayra shook her head vigorously. 

"As per those human scums, you are a demonic creature, the evilest of the evilest! Does that human even know your real identity? You want to kill me for him, huh! Female!" 

Kayra hung her head low. There was no way the man could understand her turbulent feelings!

He pinched her chin and lifted her face. Their eyes met, one pair held guilt while the other pair held fierceness. Both of them were clueless about how ambiguous their stance was.

Kayra knew she was wrong to say such hurtful words in his face. To her, he had been the supporting pillar since she had come into this world.
