While Isabella was preoccupied by the visions shown to her, Gabriel wasn't idle either. The djinn actually don't have attack powers, but because of his ability to control, he called on the ghosts under him and summoned them to the church hall.

The scene of ten thousand ghosts appeared in front of Lucien's eyes. 

Unsightly faces coupled with staggering limbs and horrible stench made Lucien feel sick to his stomach. His grip on the crescent blade tightened. 

The sight of the mob of ghosts can make one's hair stand. At first, the mob were moving so slow as they bump into each other and collapsed to the ground. But when Gabriel flick his wrists and said his order, the mob changed its movement.
